PHOENIX — Phoenix police were involved in a shooting early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. near 19th and Northern avenues. Video from the scene showed a large police presence blocking the roadway outside of an IHOP restaurant in the area.

The shooting happened after police responded to a report of trespassing at the restaurant early Aug. 19, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

A 6th grader at an exclusive Phoenix private school was allegedly stripped in a bathroom by older students. Parents are questioning the school's response and transparency.

According to Phoenix police, officers are currently investigating a scene near 19th and Northern avenues. Police said the area between 20th and Northern avenues will be closed as the investigation begins.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A boy is dead after a car hit him while he was walking with his mother in east Phoenix on Monday night. It happened just after 8 p.m. near 36th Street and McDowell Road. When officers got to the scene, the victim was unconscious and in critical condition. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in central Phoenix late Sunday night. Police and fire crews responded to the area of 25th Drive and Glendale Avenue, just west of Interstate 17, around 11 p.m. and found 44-year-old Tracey Ann Silva unresponsive in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report details an interaction with Rebekah Baptiste and her family that occurred in April of 2025. The 10-year-old girl was murdered in July.
