At least three people are dead and seven others, including two children, are missing after a suspected panga boat washed ashore near the San Diego area on May 5, authorities said.

The panga boat overturned around 6:30 a.m. north of Torrey Pines State Beach in Del Mar, a beach city in San Diego County, according to Encinitas Deputy Fire Chief Jorge Sanchez.
