They aren’t the only reasons Michigan’s softball team won a second straight Big Ten tournament and built momentum heading into the NCAA Tournament — for which the Wolverines earned an automatic berth — but they certainly have become a relied-on, productive one-two pitching punch.

Michigan softball’s Big Ten Tournament championship celebration is over. After upsetting a top-10 team in UCLA in the title game on Saturday to secure a berth in the NCAA Tournament, the Wolverines have turned the page.

The Wolverines (13-6) kept it close in the first half on Sunday, but they had no answer for Taylor, who unleashed a barrage of goals in the third period to knock off the Wolverines in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 15-7.
