Amid serious speculation about LeBron James' future in Los Angeles, there is now an update about what's coming next.

A new report has revealed that Los Angeles is still among the teams interested in signing Horford. Marc J. Spears, a longtime NBA insider, has reported that the Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, and Golden State Warriors are still working to sign Horford.

LAS VEGAS — Jordan Miller’s crisp offensive performance helped offset a similarly impressive effort from Bronny James and vaulted the Los Angeles Clippers to a 67-58 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA 2K26 Summer League battle at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Monday night.

Veteran center Al Horford remains available in free agency, and the Lakers are reportedly still interested in him.

While the Lakers have addressed their need for a center, there is still work to be done, such as acquiring an elite perimeter defender.

ESPN's Shams Charania broke the news Wednesday that Beal would be bought out by the Phoenix Suns and sign a two-year, $11 million deal with the Clippers. The Lakers may not have ever been the front-runners for Beal. Milwaukee and Golden State were also reported as possible destinations.
