High profile left winger Zarah Sultana has quit Labour and vowed to launch a new political party with Jeremy Corbyn. That, however, seems to have come as news to him.

The former leader of Britain's Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, announced on Friday he was in talks to start a new political party because Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government had "refused to deliver the change" voters expected during its first year in office.

The former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has congratulated the MP Zarah Sultana on her “principled decision” to leave the Labour Party, saying she would “help us to build a real alternative”. That’s not exactly what Ms Sultana said when she talked of “co-leading” a new party with Mr Corbyn.
