And so that’s what Journalism did. Because of what happened next, and the way Journalism covered the final 50 yards of a race for the ages, this Preakness Stakes — the final one at the old Pimlico, before it is bulldozed as part of a long-needed renovation set to begin next month — will be remembered as one of the most remarkable of any of the 150 editions.
