Discord co-founder Jason Citron has announced that he is stepping down as CEO, and will be replaced in the position by former Activision Blizzard executive Humam Sakhnini.
Jason Citron, who co-founded Discord with Stanislav Vishnevskiy and has served as CEO since its inception, will remain on the Board of Directors and transition to a role as Advisor to the CEO.
Discord was officially born, with Citron becoming CEO, Vishnevskiy becoming CTO, and investors like Greylock Partners and Benchmark investing more than $70 million to date.
