AVALON, N.J. – Ten people were rescued Wednesday when a sailboat crashed into the rocks of a jetty in Avalon, New Jersey.

No injuries were reported after the boat struck a jetty and the people, all wearing life jackets, escaped into the water, the head of the Avalon Beach Patrol said.
