SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — The number of teams in the running for the championship of Little League Baseball is down to four. Taiwan and Fairfield, Connecticut, punched their tickets to the international and U.S. title games, respectively, with wins Wednesday. They are the only remaining undefeated teams in the world series in South Williamsport.

Santa Cruz, Aruba manager Max Arendsz had a strategy idea going into Wednesday’s elimination game against Tokyo, Japan at Volunteer Stadium and it had absolutely nothing to do with the Xs and Os of baseball.

Everything was on the line at the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series for the four teams in action Thursday.

Connecticut beat Nevada on Wednesday to reach the U.S. championship game. Nevada could still make the U.S. title game if it beats South Carolina, which rallied from five runs down to beat South Dakota in extra innings in Wednesday night's elimination game.
