"The child was taken under circumstances that lead the police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious bodily harm and/or death," reads an Amber Alert for Melina.

Television station WNYT in Albany is reporting that 9-year old Melina Galanis Frattolin, the object of an Amber Alert issued this morning, has been found dead.

"At this time, there is no indication that an abduction occurred, and there is no threat to the public."
