The city of Long Beach is planning to install over a dozen cameras throughout the city to combat street takeovers. City leaders hope to mitigate the dangers of these takeovers and make streets safer.

The plan includes narrowing Pacific Avenue to one lane in each direction to add space for bicyclists and pedestrians.
