The Minnesota Vikings could bring back Aaron Jones next season at the age of 31, or they could try and trade up a few spots to get into the Ashton Jeanty sweepstakes. However, there is a lesser known third path that makes sense for Minnesota if upgrading the running back position is a priority in the first round of April's NFL draft.

The season ended poorly for the Minnesota Vikings with their 2024 season with a 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the rough ending, there is still some good news coming for the Vikings. Running back Aaron Jones is one of three finalists for the 14th annual NFL Salute to Service Award presented by USAA.
