The Dean of Chapel at King’s College Cambridge has called for the Archbishop of Canterbury to resign amid growing demands for him to quit. Dr Stephen Cherry, former canon of Durham Cathedral, said the Most Rev Justin Welby had lost the “trust and confidence” of the Church of England in his handling of a child abuse scandal.
