Vance Boelter, the man accused of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, was due back in federal court Thursday.

The man accused of fatally shooting House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, as well as injuring state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, will stay in federal custody after waiving a detention and preliminary hearing during his court appearance Thursday.

The man accused of assassinating one Minnesota lawmaker and critically wounding another is due in court on Thursday, where a judge will determine whether to grant him bond.
