An EF-0 tornado touched down in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday as severe weather hit the Philadelphia region, the National Weather Service said.

Forecasters classified the twister as an EF-0 with 70 mph winds that damaged trees along its nearly one-mile path earlier this week.

An EF0 tornado touched down Tuesday afternoon with peak winds of 70 mph. A downdraft packing those same potent winds continued northeastward in Montgomery County the National Weather Service said.
