Quarterback Patrick Mahomes spent some time before Saturday's preseason game running up and down the Kansas City Chiefs sideline, yelling, jumping and psyching himself up for his first game action since last season's Super Bowl.

The Kansas City Chiefs dropped their preseason opener at home to the Arizona Cardinals. Patrick Mahomes wasn't a reason for the loss.

The Chiefs addressed those offensive line needs with first-round pick Josh Simmons and hope he's an upgrade at left tackle to pair with Jawaan Taylor at the other tackle spot. Creed Humphrey will be the center with Kingsley Suamataia and Trey Smith on his left and right at guard.
