Jeffrey Epstein, Grand Jury and New York City court

Some six years after his death, disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein is again in the spotlight, this one cast by President Trumpâs unrelenting MAGA base.
The two socialized together frequently in New York City and Palm Beach from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. In 2002, Trump praised Epstein to a reporter as a âterrific guyâ â and curiously added that he âlikes beautiful womenâ on âthe younger side.â
With backlash from his base not abating, the Justice Dept. asked a federal judge to unseal grand jury transcripts related to Epstein's 2019 indictment.
The unreleased evidence notably includes multiple documents related to two islands Epstein owned in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Little Saint James -- where his compound was located -- and Greater Saint James. According to the index, the files include a folder containing Island blueprints, photographs and other documents.
He drew the ink sketch on a large envelope and signed it Donald J. Trump in gold marker. The drawing sold for $29,184 Thursday at Nate D. Sanders Auctions, a Los Angeles auction house specializing in autographs and memorabilia.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the Trump administration should release the documents related to disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who killed himself in a federal prison in 2019.
