Storm Warning was issued for York and Adams County for Sunday by the National Weather Service in State College, with a snowstorm expected.

After a looming snowstorm hits the Tri-State Area on Sunday, arctic air is expected to chill New York City and the surrounding areas. According to a post on the National Weather Service’s X account, the National Weather Service is warning that there might be significant impacts on infrastructure and public health.

A winter storm watch will be in effect Sunday for much of eastern Pennsylvania, including the Poconos. In Carbon and Monroe counties, 6 to 10 inches of snow is possible, the National Weather Service said Friday afternoon when issuing the watch. For Pike and Wayne counties, 5 to 9 inches is possible, the NWS said.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for New York City, effective from 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, until 4 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning at 3:08 a.m. on Sunday valid from 1 p.m. until Monday 4 a.m. for Bergen County.

On Saturday at 3:33 p.m. a winter storm warning was issued by the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC valid from Sunday 7 a.m. until Monday 7 a.m. The warning is for Madison, Yancey, Mitchell and Haywood counties.

On Saturday at 2:49 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning valid from Sunday 10 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Carbon, Monroe and Northampton counties.
