A head-on accident that took the life of 17-year-old Matthew Perrine, a student at Bryan Station High School, also seriously injured a woman and her twin 6-year-old girls.

The Chaney family was in the other car. Samantha Hamm was driving her son Austin, his girlfriend, and her twin daughters Shayla and Layla Chaney from their home in Bourbon County to Lexington.
