Trent Frederic had a goal and an assist and the defending Western Conference-champion Edmonton Oilers moved into the second round of the playoffs with a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Kings.

The Golden Knights, who are the No. 1 seed from the Pacific Division, will have home-ice advantage in the best-of-7 series against the Oilers, the No. 3 seed. Edmonton won that series 4-2, with a 6-4 win in Game 6 on Thursday.
