Ram first unveiled its plans to electrify its 1500 pickup trucklineup all the way back in 2023, but neither the range-extended Ramcharger nor the all-electric REV have actually hit the market yet.

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has confirmed the Ram 1500 TRX is returning. This had been expected, but it’s finally official.

This is the third delay of the Ram 1500 REV, which was initially slated for production in 2024. Last year, Stellantis announced that the electric pickup truck would be pushed back to H1 2025.

Ram's first electric pickup truck has been postponed to 2026, while the Ramcharger plug-in hybrid (PHEV) will take center stage next year.

Ram announced a delay and a product switch in late 2024, which would see the Ramcharger be the first out of the gate in 2025. The fully electric 1500 REV would then follow in 2026.

Since then, the carmaker has delayed the launch of its electric pickup three times. The latest estimates indicate that the Ram 1500 REV will not arrive earlier than the second half of 2027.
