Thursday night's premiere event included a red carpet, private screening, Bollywood dancers and a curated menu of cocktails and South Asian cuisine.

The event, held at Carondelet House, celebrated South Asian filmmakers who have received Oscars recognition this year and was attended by various South Asian filmmakers, actors and producers. Charithra Chandran, Manish Dayal and Lilly Singh were among those who attended the party.

Sorry Boston, but don’t expect to hear Mindy Kaling chant “beat LA” the next time the Celtics take on the Lakers.
