A federal judge blocked the release of Jack Smith's report on Donald Trump's classified documents case because his co-defendants face a possible trial

U.S. Attorney Hayden O'Byrne asked the appeals court to dismiss the classified documents case in a way it could not be appealed again.

The Justice Department moved to drop its appeal of a federal court order dismissing the criminal charges against President Donald Trump's former co-defendants in the classified documents case, which would effectively end the case.
