The Chicago Bears have made an announcement in their coaching search about Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

Despite the distraction of the playoffs, Monken has done well in his interviews, thanks, in part, to his previous experience as a head coach at the collegiate level, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

The Bears have confirmed interviewing 15 candidates, a list highlighted by Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy and former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel, who got the job in New England.

The Ravens and their offensive coordinator Todd Monken are reportedly finalizing a contract extension, ESPN reported. The deal comes after Monken directed Baltimore to the league’s No. 1 offense for the first time and helped pave the way for quarterback Lamar Jackson’s best season numerically.
