Diana Taurasi was the only athlete to win six Olympic gold medals, in part because longtime antagonist Cheryl Reeve, the Lynx coach and general manager, insisted on putting Taurasi on the 2024 Olympic team instead of celebrated rookie Caitlin Clark.

With a flair for heroic plays and her trademark bun hairstyle, Taurasi was voted by fans in 2021 as the WNBA’s Greatest of All Time.

Taurasi has been named to 14 All-WNBA teams, an all-time record. Taurasi is the only Olympian to represent the United States at six Summer Games, the most by a USA Basketball athlete. And she's got six gold medals, having won in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2021 and 2024.
