Tennessee football has future games against Georgia Tech, West Virginia and Washington, which meets a new SEC requirement for nonconference scheduling

Aspects of the nine-game schedule include the league sticking with its non-divisional structure, each school playing three annual opponents with a focus on traditional rivalries, the other six opponents on a rotation and facing every SEC opponent at least once every two years and every opponent home and away in four years.

Strength of schedule, when open dates occur and prior coaching history could allow for Tennessee to face up to four interim head coaches during the regular season in SEC play. The Vols are ranked No. 21 nationally for preseason strength of schedule by ESPN FPI.
