Residents can expect to see helicopter activity in Lacey throughout Monday as firefighters keep working on dousing the ongoing blaze.

By 12 p.m. Sunday, firefighters said they'd contained 65% of the 15,300-acre wildfire that started burning on Tuesday.

Joseph Kling, 19, was charged with arson and aggravated arson in connection with the wildfire that started in Waretown (Ocean County’s Ocean Township) on Tuesday, according to law enforcement and state officials.
