Even as push-button start systems proliferate, there’s a reason why some cars still have real keys.
The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 features a long list of updates and changes, including a push button start as standard across the lineup.
With push-button start systems, you can start your car effortlessly. As long as the key fob is inside the vehicle, a simple press of the button is all it takes.
A push button would start and stop the engine and upon exiting, the door handles would power down, effectively "locking" the truck.
The thieves specifically target Korean vehicles with a physical key slot as push-button start models can’t be bypassed as easily.
