Justin Fields wasn’t supposed to be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starting quarterback to being the 2024 season. The Steelers also brought in Russell Wilson over the offseason, and the veteran was expected to be the Week 1 starter while the younger Fields served as an understudy.

Justin Fields has impressed the Steelers’ coaching staff through two weeks. Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Arthur Smith spoke about Fields’ output as the team’s starting quarterback in place of the injured Russell Wilson this week.
