John Haliburton has apologized. The father of Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton took to social media late Tuesday night to apologize after he confronted Giannis Antetokounmpo following the Pacers’ series-clinching 119-118 overtime victory on Tuesday.

After eliminating Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks for the second year in a row, the Indiana Pacers are moving on to the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs. Unfortunately, their advancing was marred by an on-court incident initiated by Tyrese Haliburton's father, John Haliburton.

In a social media post, John Haliburton said his taunting of Bucks star after Game 5 "was not a good reflection on our sport or my son."
