The Tennessee Volunteers are going back to Adidas as its primary apparel provider after a decade of wearing the Nike swoosh. On Wednesday, Adidas announced a $100M, 10-year deal to be the exclusive apparel provider for the school's sports teams.

In its announcement, Tennessee said that Adidas would provide "unprecedented" NIL opportunities for athletes across all 20 of the school's varsity sports. In fact, Adidas will immediately start working toward securing NIL deals with Tennessee athletes during the 2025-26 athletic season.

Adidas reached an agreement to replace Nike as the athletic outfitter of the University of Tennessee, effective July 1, 2026, when the current Nike contract ends. Tennessee left Adidas in 2014 to sign with Nike, and Nike’s amended deal runs through 2026.
