A federal judge on Monday ruled Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide must continue to be reimbursed for Medicaid funding as the nation’s largest abortion provider fights President Donald Trump’s administration over efforts to defund the organization in his signature tax legislation.

A federal judge in Boston ruled that a provision in President Trump’s policy bill targeting the organization most likely amounted to retaliation.

An Obama-appointed federal judge Monday blocked the Trump administration from cutting off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, which was a key element of his One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
