Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was detained and is in the process of being deported from the United States just days after fighting social media influencer Jake Paul in a high-profile bout.

Chávez was determined to be in the country illegally and removable one day before his loss to Jake Paul, according to the DHS.

Just one week after a reported 60 million households watched him fight Trump supporter Jake Paul in Anaheim, former WBC middleweight champion Julio César Chávez Jr. was arrested and detained by ICE officials and will be deported to his native Mexico.
