This heist film from Boston native Shawn Simmons debuts on Hulu Friday (Aug. 22) is a movie wrapped in a personal tale of Edie (Samara Weaving), a young woman with a talent for high-speed driving that she used to make use of effectively serving as the wheel woman for a robbery crew.

Director James Gunn brought “Superman” to Cleveland for its art deco architecture, creating the timeless Metropolis he envisioned. “Eenie Meanie” takes a different route, showing the city’s rougher edges: the industrial Flats, working-class neighborhoods like Ohio City and dive bars such as the Peek-a-Boo Club.

This heist movie features Samara Weaving as a getaway driver with an unruly ex-boyfriend who owes a local kingpin serious cash.
