Microsoft is giving the consumer version of its Copilot Assistant a blob-like design with real-time visual expressions.

"Clippy was quite the icon, and combining his quirky charm with modern AI capabilities could be an interesting twist. Maybe there'll be a way to blend the best of both worlds," Copilot responded.

Clippy had been come to be known as the world’s most hated virtual assistant icon, the object of much scorn and ridicule. Well Microsoft obviously has trouble learning its lesson.

As for the Apple Watch, more than 195 million have been sold to date, and sales continue to boom. Clippy and Bob Microsoft doesn’t do cute. It doesn’t do funny. It doesn’t do playful.

In 2001, Clippy was replaced by other assistant tools, according to Verge. The character made a brief comeback in 2019 as part of a Microsoft Teams sticker pack, before abruptly disappearing again.
